HOUSTON, TEXAS — Primary Arms Optics is excited to announce the promotion of Carson Heck to Director of Manufacturing and Quality. In his new role, he will lead and oversee the manufacturing, quality inspection, repair, and operations of all Primary Arms Optics products.
Since joining Primary Arms Optics as a Product Engineer in 2020, Heck has led the design and development of a broad portfolio of optics and mounts, owning each stage of the process from engineering and prototype validation to production and sustainment. Heck later took ownership of the engineering system and production line development for the PLx® HTX-1 enclosed pistol red dot sight, the company’s first optic made in the United States.
As the Director of Manufacturing and Quality, Heck will work alongside Primary Arms Optics’ engineering, sales, marketing, and senior leadership teams to strengthen coordination and all internal processes across manufacturing, quality control, repair, operations. His hands-on experience in bringing domestic production systems online has positioned him to continue raising the standard for every product Primary Arms Optics offers as more of the lineup is built in the United States.
“Carson combines a strong engineering background with an exceptional understanding of manufacturing, quality, process improvement, and operational efficiency,” said Matt Fleming, President of Primary Arms. “His disciplined approach to manufacturing and continuous improvement will be instrumental as we expand our capabilities and deliver increasingly sophisticated products to our customers.”
