Primary Arms 3X Long Eye Relief Magnifier in American Defense Swing Mount with EOTech XPS
This product is not replacing anything in our current line up.  The biggest advantages compared to our other magnifiers (besides the longer eye relief) is that the 3XLER is lighter and works GREAT with American Defense Swing Mounts.  Get this great magnifier for only $109.99 or grab one of our great mount combos.

What do you think?

Edit: Don't just take our word for it.  Read the reviews now!

  1. This may be a completely idiotic question but do you need to have your dot and magnifier close to your eye to use it like a scope?

I ask because my dot is on a rail near the end of the barrel, not over the receiver.

    1. Not a stupid question. If using this magnifier, the lens facing you can be no further than around 2.8 inches from your eye and needs to be about .5 inches behind the red dot. Most (not all) magnifiers in this price range are about 1.5 inches.

So, more than likely, you will need to move your red dot back to the receiver.

  2. Can you adjust windage and elevation to center the dot?

Will it clear Troy rear BUIS with the American Defense Swing Mount?

    1. Yes it has an azimuth adjustment to center the red dot in the magnifier.

The AD-SM-01 will clear a Troy rear BUIS easily (in fact our purchasing manager has that same combo on his AR).

    2. I meant the AD-SM-02 in the same scenario, I had full co-witness in mind.

    3. The SM-02 is too low and will not clear your Troy BUIS.

  3. The eye relief is kind of hard to find for me. I fully extend my AR15 stock so when using the magnifier I either have to collapse the stock of move my head closer to the magnifier. The bigger lens cover is not a perfect fit and can move around. That being said It is very very clear glass with see through lens covers and a true 3x, not 2 1/2x.

  6. could this be coupled with a trijicon rx01 red dot, its center axis is 1.476" and i know with the flip mount the 3x center is 1.6, could it be adjusted enough to center it to the lower dot or would i need to space up the red dot?

    1. We don't have one here to test but it should work. You will need the American Defense SM-02 (you won't be able to run back up iron sights) and you will still have to adjust it down a bit. Again, it's not going to be perfect. Reflex sights sit so low, it is hard to get a good match up.

  7. What is the difference between your 3X Long Relief and your 3X Deluxe? Does the 3X Long Relief have the same focus ring and Water proof & fog resistant (Nitrogen purged) as the Deluxe model? Finally which one would you recommend with my Colt LE6940 with EOTech 551?

    1. The eye relief on the 3XLER is significantly more at 2.8 inches. If you shoot nose to charging handle, the 3X Deluxe is fine, otherwise the 3XLER provides a lot more flexibility.

  8. I just purchased the Primary Arms 3X Long Eye Relief Magnifier / ADM Mount Bundle for $199. I took it to the range and am very happy with this magnifier for the price. I have an EOTech 512.A65 and when shooting it for the first time with the magnifier I was impressed with the clarity of the eotech. Primary Arms hit a home run on this one. Best site out there for the great cost of 199 with the American Defence quick release mount.
